Throughout the pandemic, Support Smyrna was able to help feed hundreds of Smyrna families in need. After receiving 501c3 status, Support Smyrna is expanding our mission within the Smyrna community to help veterans, seniors, students, and others in need. We identify these needs through important community partnerships including faith leaders, educators and school counselors, our Local Legion Post 160, senior service organizations and more.
A native of Austell, GA, Laura Norton has lived in Smyrna for over 10 years. She is married to Mayor Derek Norton and they have two kids, Samantha (7) and Jack (5). Laura works in government relations on issues ranging from education to healthcare to economic development. Laura enjoys running, traveling, Nebraska Cornhusker football and the Atlanta Braves.

founder of the Wave of Excellence, a grass roots local school support group. She also served as co-president of the PTA at Smyrna Elementary School, served on the School Council for Campbell Middle School, and co-lead a Girl Scout Troop for more than five years. Michelle believes in supporting her
community through volunteerism and diligent advocacy to ensure it becomes a better place to live, work, play and raise a family. She is excited about being part of a non-profit organization that helps support neighbors in need and looks forward to guiding Support Smyrna in making a difference in the lives of Smyrna’s citizens.
Ashley Mize is a proud lifelong Smyrna resident. She has a daughter, Abby (19), and is an educator with 25 years of experience. She is currently working on her educational leadership doctorate and hopes to finish in the next three years. When not reading or writing for graduate school, Ashley enjoys spending time with her daughter, hiking, and all things Atlanta Braves.
Natalie Trivedi has been a proud Smyrna resident since 2018. She has a wonderful husband, Kash, two beautiful boys Krishan (5) Kalem (1), and a crazy golden doodle named Butters. nursing services, operations, and physician practice operations. As a
result of this experience, she has a seasoned perspective on how to
support buyers and sellers, and negotiations with the perspective of a
nurse.
She is a proud alum of University of Phoenix where she received a
Masters Degree in Healthcare administration. She lives in Smyrna with
her husband Michael and her fur baby, Romeo. She loves to visit
friends and family and spends a lot of time reading, golfing, and
furniture renovation. Ask her about how to bake biscotti; it’s her secret

Daniel Parker has lived in Smyrna since 1998, but is originally from Buffalo, New York. Daniel has been married to Saralee Parker for 23 years, and has two children: Garrett (20) and Haley (18). Daniel has worked as a stay at home dad for 20 years, and serves as the Operations Manager for Chess2Children. Daniel also serves on the Campbell High School Education Foundation.
